Responsibilities

 

 

Quality Assurance Analyst - Must be a US Citizen - This position is onsite at Andrews AFB, Md.

 

  • Develop, maintain, and execute verification and validation plans, test cases, test scripts, and test procedures for a cloud-based enterprise system.
  • Review system requirements, user stories, interface specifications, and acceptance criteria to ensure they are testable, complete, and traceable.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, interface, user acceptance, and end-to-end testing across system releases.
  • Validate that system capabilities support Air National Guard order writing processes and approved operational requirements.
  • Facilitate execution of User Acceptance Test procedures with teams consisting of Military and Government Functional Representatives.
  • Document test execution results, defects, discrepancies, risks, and recommendations in the designated tracking and reporting tools.
  • Coordinate with developers, product owners, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and functional stakeholders to reproduce issues and verify corrective actions.
  • Maintain requirements-to-test traceability matrices and support configuration and change-management processes.
  • Participate in Change Control Meeting and Joint Application Design Sessions.
  • Conduct data validation and assess system outputs for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with approved business rules.
  • Participate in test readiness reviews, release readiness reviews, demonstrations, and stakeholder feedback sessions.
  • Assist in developing quality metrics, dashboards, status reports, and briefings for program leadership and system stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvements that strengthen testing efficiency, defect prevention, documentation quality, and overall system reliability.
  • Follow applicable Department of War, Air National Guard, organizational, cybersecurity, records-management, and system-development lifecycle policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, business, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, system verification and validation, business systems analysis, or a related discipline.
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain Oublic trust clearance
  • Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
  • Experience documenting and tracking software defects through resolution.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies, including Agile, iterative, and/or waterfall development practices.
  • Ability to analyze functional requirements and translate them into measurable test objectives and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience with requirements traceability, change management, and release-management processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief technical findings to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while coordinating effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency with common productivity tools, including Microsoft Office applications.

  

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Experience supporting Department of War, Department of the Air Force, Air National Guard, federal government, or other large enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Air National Guard Order Writing Processes and publication of Inactive Duty Training Documents.
  • Familiarity with USAF Customs and Courtesies.
  • Experience testing cloud-based enterprise applications and integrated systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud service models, application programming interfaces (APIs), identity and access management, and system-to-system interfaces.
  • Experience using test-management, defect-tracking, and collaboration tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or comparable platforms.
  • Knowledge of automated testing concepts and tools.
  • Experience conducting user acceptance testing with geographically dispersed stakeholders.
  • Experience developing SQL Queries to perform data validation.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity testing coordination, including security control validation and vulnerability remediation verification.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as Certified Software Quality Analyst, Certified Associate in Software Testing, ISTQB certification, Certified ScrumMaster, ITIL, or comparable credentials.
  • Experience developing executive-level status reports, test summaries, risk assessments, and decision briefs.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel by land or air transportation 25%

If hired for this position, the base salary range would be within the range provided. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to work location, skills, experience, gov con contractual requirements, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Empower AI's total compensation package for employees.
