As a Database Programmer, you will design, develop, test, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain database-driven web applications and integrated enterprise systems supporting mission-critical Army operations. The position places a strong emphasis on hands-on C# programming using Microsoft Visual Studio, along with ASP.NET, Web Services, Oracle/SQL database development, and the integration of dissimilar systems. You will be responsible for translating customer requirements into secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions and supporting those solutions throughout the application lifecycle. In this role, you will collaborate with application developers, database administrators, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and government stakeholders to design and maintain web applications, database schemas, system interfaces, and supporting documentation. You will also assist with software testing, debugging, application deployment, security code analysis, database updates, and the resolution of application and integration issues. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Empower AI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments. This position is located onsite in St. Louis, Missouri. An active DoD Secret clearance is required upon access to the facility.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
Minimum of 2 years of experience administering Oracle and/or SQL database environments, database development, application support, and related information technology disciplines..
Experience with Oracle/SQL databases, programming languages, and website or application development.
Demonstrated hands-on software development experience using C# and Microsoft Visual Studio.
Experience developing and supporting Microsoft-based web applications using ASP.NET and the .NET development framework.
Experience writing, troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and maintaining application source code.
Experience developing custom web applications based on customer and business requirements.
Experience developing applications that integrate with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Experience with PL/SQL, ASP, ASP.NET, VB, VB.NET, C#, JavaScript, VBScript, and HTML.
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Studio.NET development tools.
Experience developing and implementing Web Services and database schemas that interface with internal and external systems.
Experience designing database tables, views, procedures, queries, schemas, and other database structures supporting dynamic applications.
Experience with Windows Server, IIS, and Windows-based application environments.
Knowledge of multiple operating systems, including Windows, UNIX, and Linux.
Experience with authentication, encryption, database security, web application security, and secure programming practices.
Experience using Fortify or an equivalent code-security analysis tool to evaluate software code.
Experience using TOAD or an equivalent database management and monitoring tool.
Experience with application design, system integration, software testing, troubleshooting, debugging, deployment, maintenance, and technical documentation.
Experience developing programming code for serial and Ethernet interfaces used to connect applications with other appliances or systems.
Knowledge of database design, system design, software development techniques, operating system software, and DBMS concepts.
Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, source code documentation, requirements documentation, flowcharts, user instructions, and system instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a development team while communicating effectively with customers, government personnel, developers, database administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and system administrators.
Knowledge of DoD, Department of the Army, and Army regulations, technical bulletins, and web-development standards.
