Responsibilities

The Applications Team Lead brings senior application project management experience utilizing Agile development best practices. Under indirect supervision, this position oversees the management of multiple application modernization projects, including requirements gathering, estimating level of effort, drafting development stories, facilitating backlog reviews and sprint planning meetings, coordinating resources, reviewing QA results, and performing final review.

This is a remote-eligible position. Local candidates in the Roanoke and Radford, Virginia area are encouraged to apply, and work may be performed locally for those who prefer an on-site or hybrid arrangement. The ideal candidate will bring Agile application project management expertise, strong DoD cybersecurity compliance knowledge, and the ability to support mission-critical Army IT services across enterprise data centers and cloud-hosted environments.

 

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Three or more years' experience with DevSecOps development strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred; equivalent years of experience managing application development projects will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Three or more years' experience with Agile development processes and tools.
  • Three or more years' experience with Quality Assurance (QA) application testing.
  • Three or more years' experience managing budgets and resources across multiple application projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical/business discipline or equivalent years of experience managing application development projects.
  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).

 

Physical Requirements:

 

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

 

  • Sitting for long periods
  • Ambulate throughout an office
  • Ambulate between several buildings
  • Occasional travel to government facilities or data center locations may be required based on mission needs.
