Responsibilities

System Administrator, Financial Systems Level 1

 

The System Administrator, Financial Systems, is the backbone of the system's operation, ensuring its smooth and efficient functioning by managing users, configuration, and security. Position will report to the Controller and will be based in the Reston, VA office  with a  hybrid work schedule with minimum in office hours two days per week required.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Overall responsibility for managing the Finance Team Information Systems to include Unanet and ADP
    • Partner with IT, HR, and Technology teams to ensure accuracy of data and flow of data (API’s) – HRIS systems experience a plus (Workday, UKG or SAP)
  • The Unanet System Administrator will have the highest level of access and can perform all administrative tasks
  • Troubleshooting and Support: diagnose and resolve issues/problems related to Finance team systems
  • Install and configure software updates and provide technical support to users; provide timely notification to users summarizing updates
  • Reporting: maintain and update Unanet Dashboard including all reports; generate and analyze data and reports related to Finance team areas and data
  • System Monitoring and Performance: Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and procedures. 
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and execute backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection. 
  • User Account Management:

Creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts, assigning roles and permissions, and managing user access to different modules and features. 

  • System Setup and Configuration:

Configuring system settings, customizing workflows, and managing data import/export processes. 

  • Data Import and Export:

Granting or revoking access to import/export functionalities for other users, potentially limiting visibility based on organization. 

  • Security Management:

Ensuring the security of the system and its data by managing user access and permissions. 

  • Problem Solving:

Addressing technical issues and providing support to users who may have questions or problems with the system. 

  • System Maintenance:

Performing regular system maintenance tasks to ensure the system's stability and optimal performance. 

  • Training: Provide technical training to users on the use of IT systems and software. 
  • Staying Current: Keep up to date with the latest technologies and security trends. 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  •  2 – 7 Years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
  • Unanet experience is a must have

Preferred: 

  • 1 to 5 years relevant experience working for government contractor or related company
  • HRIS systems experience is a plus (Workday, UKG or SAP)
