Responsibilities

Responsibilities: Work location is Camp Humphreys, Korea. 

 

  • Lead the administration and support of a virtualized server environment that includes both Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux systems.
  • Design, configure, and manage systems and services related to Windows Server, MS SQL, MS CRM, MS SCCM, and other enterprise applications.
  • Oversee the maintenance and monitoring of SAN storage systems (e.g., Dell Compellent, EMC) and Dell Tape Libraries for data protection and disaster recovery.
  • Manage and optimize VMware virtualization environments and ensure high availability of virtual machines and services.
  • Administer Unix-based operating systems, including Linux and Solaris, as part of the hybrid server environment.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, MPLS, IPv4, and IPv6.
  • Lead a team of system administrators, providing technical guidance, task prioritization, and mentoring.
  • Perform routine and emergency system maintenance, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure all systems comply with applicable security, configuration, and documentation standards.
  • Support system backup, restoration, and continuity of operations planning.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience managing complex, mixed-environment (Windows and Unix/Linux) virtualized server infrastructure.
  • High level of expertise in the following technologies and platforms:
    • Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Windows Desktop (e.g., Windows 10)
    • Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL), MS CRM, and MS SCCM
    • VMware virtualization platforms
    • Dell Compellent and EMC SANs, and Dell Tape Libraries
    • Unix variants, including Linux and Solaris
    • Network protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, MPLS, IPv4, and IPv6
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in Windows Server and Exchange Server at time of appointment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to high-impact, high-urgency incidents.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams or system administration functions.

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess a minimum active Secret clearance at the time of appointment.
  • Must maintain eligibility for continued clearance and access to secure facilities and systems throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in DoD or government-secured environments.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, CompTIA Security+, Linux certifications).
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management principles and ticketing systems.
  • Experience with system hardening and compliance to DoD STIGs.

Physical Requirements:

 

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

  • Primarily on-site in a secure facility, may require on-call availability and after-hours work during outages or upgrades.
  • May involve lifting, installing, or moving server and network hardware.
  • Occasional travel to support sites or customers.
  • Must be able to work in a high-security environment and comply with all relevant security protocols.
