Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable III (A/P Specialist), you will be responsible for processing full cycle Accounts Payables. Will work in conjunction with the A/P Manager, able to troubleshoot vendor and employee's issues or concerns and will also be the backup for the A/P Manager. Perform weekly check runs and reports, and reconciliations as needed. 

 

Highlights of Responsibilities:

 

  • Performs basic to moderately complex and/or specialized Accounts Payable functions
  • Interprets accounts payable data, prepares and analyzes accounts payable reports and may make recommendations
  • Responsible for providing accurate payment information to vendors, suppliers, or other organizations/individuals
  • Reviews purchase orders, understands processing invoices associated with 2-way/3-way matches, enters invoices and prepares payments
  • Maintains all payment information and/or files
  • Processes month-end processing
  • Supervises activities in the accounts payable function
  • Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports
  • Determines solutions to unusual and complex accounts payable problems
  • Coordinates accounting matters with other departments
  • Assists in the development and installation of accounting systems (accounts payable), methods, procedures and controls
  • Determines need and use of accounts payable data
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  

 

 

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent related experience
  • 4 - 9 years of experience

  

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Accounts Payable Experience with a Government Contractor: 2 – 5 Years
  • Experience with Unanet Preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Government Travel Regulations

 

Physical Requirements:
