Responsibilities

Empower AI: Serves as the Lead RMF Engineer for a large, complex project.  Applies an understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and guides (such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Risk Management Framework (RMF) or the Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)) to specific systems to manage and improve their cybersecurity posture. Works with Project stakeholders and technical teams to identify and prepare cybersecurity artifacts. Ensures timely completion of deliverables.

 

Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Advises appropriate senior leadership or Authorizing Official of changes affecting the organization’s cybersecurity posture
  • Collects and maintains data needed to meet system cybersecurity reporting
  • Ensures security improvement actions are evaluated, validated, and implemented as required
  • Ensures that cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated for the network environment
  • Identifies alternative information security strategies to address organizational security objectives
  • Identifies security program implications of new technologies or technology upgrades
  • Participates in the development or modification of the computer environment cybersecurity program plans and requirements
  • Prepares, distributes, and maintains plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning the security of network system(s) operations
  • Recommends resource allocations required to securely operate and maintain an organization’s cybersecurity requirements
  • Tracks audit findings and recommendations to ensure appropriate mitigation actions are taken
  • Promotes awareness of security issues among management and ensures sound security principles are reflected in the organization’s vision and goals
  • Identifies security requirements specific to an information technology system in all phases of the System Life Cycle.
  • Ensures plans of actions and milestones or remediation plans are in place for vulnerabilities identified during risk assessments, audits, inspections, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • TS/SCI clearance or eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 years of IT management or engineering leadership experience
  • Experience working in the defense industry
  • DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) IA Policy and Compliance Certified Professionals qualified (DCWF 722)
  • CISM, CISSO, FITSP-M, GCIA, GCSA, GCIH, GSLC, GICSP, CISSP-ISSMP or CISSP certified

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certified
  • Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) Foundation certification
  • ITIL Intermediate, Practice Manager, Managing Professional, or Strategic Leader certification
  • Experience supporting Army Information Technology programs

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for long periods
  • Ambulate throughout an office
  • Ambulate between several buildings
  • Travel by land or air transportation 10% or less
