As a Boards, Commissions, and Task Force (BCTF)/Operations Service Request (OSR) Project Manager Consultant you will provide valuable consulting guidance and oversight to the OSR Manager and OSR Project Coordinator. In this remote role, you will work a few hours weekly or as needed, leveraging your expertise to assist in establishing best practices, processes, procedures, and team structure for effective project management. Your strong organizational and communication skills will contribute to a cohesive project environment, driving initiatives forward and supporting the overall success of projects.

HIGHLIGHT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide expert consulting guidance to the OSR Manager and Project Coordinator on project management best practices.
• Assist in the development and implementation of efficient processes and procedures that enhance project execution.
• Offer oversight and mentorship to ensure adherence to established project management standards and methodologies.
• Help define and refine the team structure to improve collaboration and productivity among Project Managers and Technicians.
• Collaborate with the OSR team to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
• Review and provide feedback on project schedules and resource allocations to optimize project outcomes.
• Facilitate the documentation of best practices and current processes to ensure clarity and consistency across the team.
• Participate in regular check-ins with the OSR Manager and Project Coordinator to assess progress and address any challenges.
• Support the OSR team in developing training materials and sessions to enhance team capabilities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in project management to provide contemporary insights and recommendations.

Required Education and Experience:  

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field or equivalent 
• 6 – 9 years of professional experience supporting projects. 
• 8570 Level II Certification, Security+ 
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• ITILv4 Foundation minimum certification preferred. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Clearance Required: US Department of Defense (DOD) issued Top Secret. 
• Proven experience in project management and team leadership, preferably in a consulting capacity.
• Strong ability to provide constructive feedback and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., SharePoint, ticketing systems).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on establishing best practices.
