Responsibilities

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Responsible for managing very complex and/or high risk technical programs
  • Oversees program budget and schedules; may direct staff
  • May be responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers
  • Exercises a high level of independent judgment and initiative in solving highly complex problems
  • Identifies and engages in frequent contacts with potential customers
  • Will frequently travel to customer and company locations
  • Oversees and develops strategic planning strategy
  • Performs related duties as assigned
  • Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts
  • Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs a variety of complex tasks
  • Typically reports to a unit/department head

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A minimum of five years of experience within the last ten years in the field of IT project management.
  • Possess a current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional Certification and/or a current Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification.
  • At least two years of continuous recent experience within the last five years managing Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) projects with multiple CONUS and OCONUS performance locations.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance

It is desired that the PM has the following qualifications:

 

  • Ten years of experience in the field of IT project management.
  • Posses a Security+ (SEC+) and/or other Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II Level Certification.
  • Possess a current Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification.
  • Experience supervising and managing simultaneous contract operation support functions involving multiple, complex, and inter-related IT projects similar in size, scope, and complexity to AGUN-INC1 task areas of the TOR.
  • Two years of continuous recent experience, within the last five years, managing U.S. Army IT projects with multiple CONUS and OCONUS performance locations.

 

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

  • Sitting for long periods
  • Standing for long periods
  • Ambulate throughout an office
  • Ambulate between several buildings
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
  • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 50 pounds
  • Travel by land or air transportation 25-50%
