ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS BY LEVEL:

• Supervises the design, installation, and maintenance of complex networks that typically link numerous computing platforms, operating systems, and network topologies across widely dispersed geographic areas
• Responsible for overall Local Area Network (LAN) system and activity
• Manages network performance
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure no disruption of mission-critical applications
• Has advanced knowledge and experience in the local and wide area networking, communications, and related hardware/software such as bridges, gateways, routers, multiplexes and hubs
• Provides for the training of department’s staff and end-users
• Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced
• May act as a technical lead to support business development functions or to support corporate network planning and design
• Leads the development and maintenance of network communications
• Possesses expert knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks
• Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• May lead and direct the work of others

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
• ITIL v4
• IAT-II
• Education/experience in one of the following: SQL, Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware, Linux

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BY LEVEL:

• V: 10 – 15 Years

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

• Sitting for long periods
• Standing for long periods
• Ambulate throughout an office
• Ambulate between several buildings
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
• Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 25 pounds
• Travel by land or air transportation 15%
