- Performs extensive assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy through passive evaluations (compliance audits) and active evaluations (vulnerability assessments)

Empower AI: As the Applications Operations & Management SME, you will be a key member of the Empower AI team providing support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Service Provider (JSP) on the Platform Services contract. JSP operates and defends the Department of Defense’s (DOD) key cyber terrain and provides information technology (IT) services to Pentagon and National Capital Region (NCR) customers. For Platform Services, Empower AI will provide an integrated, structured approach to operating, managing, and maintaining the JSP-supported infrastructure across all managed platforms, as well as assist in defining requirements for future upgrades and enhancements based on operational and customer trends. Highlights of Responsibilities:
- Serve as the knowledge expert to ensure availability, performance and security of all applications within the JSP application portfolio.
- Provide expertise in the architecture, deployment, and sustainment of COTS, GOTS, and custom-built applications.
- Ensure availability, optimum performance, and security for all applications within JSP application portfolio, to include custom-built, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), and Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) applications.
- Provide support and maintenance of applications in both resource test and production environments.
- Provide for deploying and configuring applications within the test and production environments.
- Ensure the availability, performance, security, and operations of all business systems/applications.
- Use Remedy to identify, track, and respond to RFC, Work Orders, and Incidents.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support to include system administration, application configuration, user account management, and application support to the customers.
- Provide database administration and support.
- Maintain application A&A documentation and Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Assist customers in maintaining security compliance and performing duties required during the Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation process.
- Create, update, modify, and maintain application and configuration documentation required for A&A, ATO, and Interim ATO.
- Provide system performance metrics to measure the availability, performance, and security of all business systems and applications.
- Perform problem management to identify potential issues and/or identify efficiencies to be gained within applications.
- Support and maintain mission essential applications designated as business systems for COOP.
- Plan COOP readiness status for both source and target systems at all times.
- Provide application support for all COOP activities.
- Provide configuration and release management of applications.
- Provide application rationalization.
Empower AI: As the Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2) Application SME, you will be a key member of the Empower AI team providing support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Service Provider (JSP) on the Platform Services contract. JSP operates and defends the Department of Defense’s (DOD) key cyber terrain and provides information technology (IT) services to Pentagon and National Capital Region (NCR) customers. For Platform Services, Empower AI will provide an integrated, structured approach to operating, managing, and maintaining the JSP-supported infrastructure across all managed platforms, as well as assist in defining requirements for future upgrades and enhancements based on operational and customer trends. We will provide a unified approach to managing server, storage, and application resources (to include virtualized applications) at an enterprise level. In order to drive standardization in the hosting environment, Empower AI will assist customers, both external and internal, by moving applications to the JSP IT environments. - Provide technical expertise with the Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2) application.
- Manage PD2 software vSR16 for several JSP server and client systems.
- Provide expertise in Sybase ASE 15.0.3 or higher, Windows environment on Server 2012, and Windows 7 and/or 10 operating systems, applications/systems in clustered environments, securing Operating Systems to comply with DISA STIGs, and configuring and maintaining desktop firewalls.
